The Vortex
On October 2nd Manchester based band The Vortex came to Darlaston Conservative club to perform for a charity night to raise money for Meningitis. The event which was organised by local promoter Lee Callender had over 200 people turn up to see the band that features ex Oasis Guitarist Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs. 3 other local bands also performed and alot of money was raised for charity.
After leaving Oasis in 1999 Bonehead made some guest appearances with the band but officially joined them in 2009. They performed a stomping set which mixed Manchester indie anthems with dance beats.
LNP Sound were there to supply the sound system for the concert.
