Described by ‘The Stage’ as “like Busted on Red Bull… really revives enthusiasm for live music”, Jamie & The First Class have established a well-deserved reputation as one of the most exciting, talented and downright fun bands around.
Established in 2000, the band is made up of four young – yet highly experienced – musicians: Jamie on guitar and vocals, Neil on lead guitar, Dan on bass and Matt on drums. Together they have performed in many prestigious venues including Hammersmith Palais, Old Trafford, Cliveden, Caerphilly Castle, Donnington Castle,The Grosvenor Hotel (Park Lane),
The Barbican, Eton College, Stamford Bridge, Silverstone and many more.
Jamie & the First Class are also in demand internationally and are looking forward to a month’s tour of five-star hotels in Israel and a tour of Australia in 2007. Having recently toured Poland, France, Egypt and Spain, Jamie and the boys can’t wait to see the world.
As the resident band at the SchoolDisco.com club in London’s Hammersmith Palais, the boys have regularly performed to audiences of thousands of people. The band’s excellent live show entertains crowds of all ages, performing a wide range of music to suit all tastes. It is this attention to detail and love of playing that has won them a large and loyal following in many countries.
2005 saw the band release their debut album, “Late for School”, a cracking collection of old favourites plus some soon-to-be-hits penned by Jamie. As an established singer/songwriter in his own right with a lot of radio airplay under his belt, Jamie’s songs form an important part of the band’s repertoire.
In the same year they became the first band to be featured on the front page of ‘The Stage’ in years.
Jamie & The First Class are looking forward to a fantastic 2006, and aim, as always, to provide the brilliant atmosphere and excitement that only live music can give wherever they go.
Jamie and The First Class are a fun professional band performing songs from the 60s to the present day - The Rolling Stones to Robbie Williams.
They perform all styles of music, including soul, rock ‘n roll, reggae, pop, rock, punk and funk with all the hit songs from the last 45 years.
Classic groups including The Beatles, The Small Faces, The Kinks, and TREX, with solo artistes such as Chuck Berry, Van Morrison, Rod Stewart, Otis Redding, and Bob Marley.
Great songs including ‘ Brown Eyed girl’, ’Mustang Sally’, ’I’m a Believer’ ‘Red Wine‘, ‘You Sexy Thing’, plus many, many more!
Jamie and his band have been providing entertainment for parties, weddings and venues since 1991.
Jamie has performed over 700 gigs to hundreds & thousands.
A wide range of music for all ages, suitable for any function.
The band has performed at prestigious venues including Cliveden Hotel, The Barbican Hall, The Civic Hall, Donnington Castle, Newbury Manor, The Grovesfield , The Renaissance Hotel, The Paragon Hotel, Chilworth Manor, Celtic Manor, The Holiday Inn, The Mean Fiddler, Caerphilly Castle and Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United.
The band has a quality JBL / studiomaster sound and lighting system (equipment list on request).
Jamie can perform with electric or acoustic guitar.
