Audrey studied at the Royal College of Music and was appointed Principal Harp with the BBC Northern Ireland Orchestra shortly after leaving the RCM. She stayed in Northern Ireland for 6 years also working with the Ulster Orchestra and appearing on BBC Northern Ireland T.V., Ulster T.V., and BBC Radio.
Whilst in Northern Ireland she formed the Phoenix Duo with flautist Libby Bennett and they have worked together ever since, performing throughout Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Audrey and Libby specialise in performances and workshops for children. Their work has taken them to the Burrell, Glasgow, National Maritime Museum, Greenwich Royal Naval Museum, Portsmouth, Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum and many other Art Galleries and museums.
In 1982 Audrey moved to the Midlands and worked as a freelance harpist. She played with all the leading symphony orchestras including the CBSO, Halle, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestras, Welsh National Opera and still returns regularly to the Ulster Orchestra.
Audrey is first call harpist with the Royal Shakespeare Company and Birmingham Opera Company and has performed in many productions over the last 22 years.
Audrey now specialises in playing for Weddings and Corporate functions. She has played for many VIPs and prestigious events. Audrey's extensive repertoire includes Classical, standards, musicals, Celtic and the latest pop ballads.
Audrey has been teaching the harp for 25 years both privately and at the Birmingham Conservatoire, Malvern Girls College, Uppingham School and Oakham School. Recently 2 of her pupils were accepted at Chethams School and one of her pupils is in the National Childrens Orchestra. She has many pupils of all ages and abilities from the very young to the not so young.
