Biography
The exceptional vocal talents of Nicky Moran have been delighting audiences throughout Britain for the last decade. From the age of 11 Nicky received formal vocal training in both Operatic & Contemporary styles.
In 1994 Nicky completed a 4-year course in Performing Arts, where she gained her diploma in what was to be the start of a very successful career in show business.
Nicky has toured the country, playing countless leading venues & Theatres. Not just as a soloist but performing to many people in a tribute show devoted to one of her musical inspirations, the carpenters. Along the way Nicky has performed with other top artists such as Brian May of Queen!
Nick’s act consists of well – known songs from top musicals spanning early hits such as Porgy & Bess, Funny Girl, My Fair lady, Carousel and West Side Story moving onto modern day musicals such as Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Cats, Miss Saigon and many more.
Nicky's varied repertoire also includes songs from artists including Barbara Streisand, Sarah Brightman and the Carpenters, with a selection of popular classics from the likes of Sinatra & Judy Garland, whilst combining the sublime pleasure of pure operatic arias throughout her act. (Reflecting her early training as an operatic soprano).
Nicky’s ability to mix songs to give a constant variety is second to none and is extolled upon wherever she performs. She’s even incorporating an emotional tribute to Eva Cassidy. The pure pleasure of Nicky Moran is phenomenal; she casts a spell of charm enabling her audience to feel the power of her performance. Joining in one minute and then crying with emotion the next. In all she delivers something for every taste.

Is Nicky a full time professional vocalist?
Yes – with over a decade of professional engagements. In this time Nicky has become a full member of the British performing society Equity
Nicky also enjoys great success performing at Weddings both Church & Civil ceremonies. Nicky sings whilst the bride and groom are signing the register, but has been asked to perform during many wedding breakfasts (Further wedding information on request)
What equipment does Nicky use?
Nicky is such a versatile performer, using live musicians or with her own PA. Nickys sheet music (Dot’s) has been written by one of the industries most admired musician. Writing for many cabaret artists around the country.
Nicky’s PA is the latest digital equipment. She uses small unobtrusive equipment for slight amplification. As Nicky’s audience listens to her performance, only minimal sound is needed.
